European Highlights

From September 2000 to December 2001, we lived in St. Genis-Pouilly France. During this time we did lots of traveling around Europe. Here are some highlights and memorable places. Unfortunately we did not buy a digital camera until March of 2001, so several trips, including Berlin, Spain, and Morocco, are not here. You'll just have to come over some day to see those. Barcelona was especially cool, with all the great Gaudi buildings everywhere:

great ham
and a whole museum of one of my favorite artists, Antoni Tàpies

Florence incredibly beautiful, even if it was full American tour groups. It has lots of great Churches

famous statues  not so famous statues

and an incredible museum with anatomy models from the 1780s (click on photo for full screen version!)

Of course London was a blast, going to Pubs

walking on streets with funny names

and lots of great art everywhere

We also spent a few days in Oxford

Christine went to Brussels       home of mussels

Rome, with its famous ruins

and great Piatzas with obelisks

Napoli (Naples), home of the worlds best Pizza, great seafood,
strong castles  with strong doors
Where old meets new

and where you'll find a museum with a very unique exhibit of Roman erotic art.

We met Tim and Liz for a long weekend in Paris, food and
art capital of the world.
